Yoga Movement Therapeutics

Starting in the Ashtanga lineage as my primary movement practice almost 15 years ago, it was not long till I understood that other disciplines needed to be implemented for greater balance, strength and sustainability.  This epiphany did not come from an injury as for many yoga teachers, but from self-awareness of what my body was missing, along with what I was seeing in the classes I was teaching.

Years of immersing myself in different forms of movement and therapeutic explorations; I am a Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist, along with certifications from FRC and Yoga Tune-up, and more.

My goal in teaching was never achievement based, but one of embodiment of the practice within the body, mind and heart.  It was always about how students felt when they left, and how the practice enriched their lives off the mat. The group classes and private practice weave in my extensive knowledge of postures, biomechanical movement and therapeutics, as well as my own movement explorations to create a unique and well-rounded experience.

I think of my teachings as an invitation to look within with an inclusive explorative playful sequencing, and attention to alignment while weaving in a connection between body, mind and heart.  As a spiritual mentor and energy worker, there is an anchor in each class or private session of a spiritual theme that enriches and holds space for greater self-observation and self-compassion. My passion and purpose in life has always been to inspire others to delve deeper to uncover their inner knowing and light within so they can lead a life of courage, balance and peace.

Within my successful private practice, I have worked with clients dealing with chronic pain, anxiety and stress, injuries, Lyme disease, side effects from chemo, and more.  I have private clients that desire dynamic practices, clients that require stillness and therapeutics, and seniors with chair yoga and therapeutic integration. It is a true blessing to be there for all ages, abilities and goals.  An honor to create and hold space for each group class, private group or private client.
